Eminem has been nominated, and set to be inducted at this year’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
“Unbridled controversy. Unparalleled talent. Unmatched superstardom,” The Hall writes to showcase Eminem on its website. “As the single best-selling artist of the 2000s, a 15-time Grammy winner, and the first artist to have ten consecutive Number One debut albums on the Billboard 200, Eminem’s accolades speak for themselves. His world-renowned status solidified hip-hop as the most commercially successful music on the planet.”
On the Hall website it also states, “Congratulations to our newest Inductees, and to all the fans who helped them get here,” and continuing on to announce the date of this year’s ceremony, “We’re excited to celebrate with you on Saturday, November 5th in Los Angeles.”
Joining him this year, include: Dolly Parton, Lionel Richie, Eurythmics, Duran Duran, Pat Benatar, and Carly Simon.
Eminem, or Marshall Bruce Mathers III, (born October 17, 1972), began his career in Detroit, MI.
