The MTV VMA’s are Back, and broadcasting LIVE from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on Sept. 12, 2023.

Rapper Nicki Minaj will be hosting the 2023 MTV VMA’S. Also, Nicki will be performing at the end of the award show to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Hip-Hop.

The Hip-Hop medley will include performances by DMC, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, LL Cool J, Doug E. Fresh, Lil Wayne, and Nicki Minaj.

Also, performances from Olivia Rodrigo, Demi Lovato, Fall Out Boy, Karol G, Anitta, Metro Boomin & Future, Kelsea Ballerini, Stray Kids and TOMORROW X TOGETHER and Doja Cat.

Doja Cat recently made Spotify history with her new single, “Paint The Town Red.”

Columbian singer and songwriter, Shakira will be presented with the MTV(Michael Jackson)Video Vanguard Award this year. She is the first Latin Artist to receive this award.

As a result of 30 years of global music hits, and incredible dance moves, including her explosive performance on the 54th annual Superbowl halftime stage, It is definitely well deserved. This is the first performance in 17 years for Shakira on the VMA stage.

Also, Sean “Diddy” Combs will receive the Global Icon Award and perform some of his greatest hits on the MTV VMA’s stage.

This is Diddy’s first performance on the show since 2002. He is the third recipient of this award, following Foo Fighters(2021), and Red Hot Chili Peppers(2022).

Not only has Sean Diddy Combs had over 40 years of rapping success, but he’s also a record producer, record executive and actor.

As well as, having two No. 1 albums on the Billboard charts with No Way Out(1997) and Press Play(2006).

Also, five No. 1 Singles, “Can’t Nobody Hold Me Down” (featuring Ma$e), “I’ll Be Missing You (collab with Faith Evans feat.112, The Notorious BIG’s “Mo Money Mo Problems” (with Ma$e), “Bump, Bump, Bump” (with B2K) and “Shake Ya Tailfeather” (with Murphy Lee).

Last but not least, Taylor Swift leads the nominations at the MTV VMA’s with 8 nods. She currently holds 14 VMA’s, and has the chance on Tuesday to become the most awarded artist in VMA History.

Close by, SZA is up for six awards this year. Miley Cyrus, Sam Smith, Kim Petras, Olivia Rodrigo, and Nicki Minaj all have five nominations each.

This year’s MTV VMA’S are going to be epic, so don’t miss a thing! The Video Music Awards will be LIVE on MTV at 7pm(CT).
