American Music Award nominations are in, and Bad Bunny leads this year’s ceremony with 8 nods. Including “Artist of the Year”, “Favorite Touring Artist”, “Favorite Male Pop Artist”, and “Favorite Music Video”.
Following Bad Bunny in nominations is Taylor Swift, Drake, and Beyonce with 6 a piece.
Also, Imagine Dragons, and Måneskin tied for the most group nominations with five each.
Elton John is in the running for “Collaboration Of The Year” for “Cold Heart – PNAU Remix” ft Dua Lipa, and “Favorite Touring Artist”, making him the longest-recognized artist in AMA history, having earned his first nomination in 1974.
The 50th annual American Music Awards will be held on November 20, 2022 at 7:00 PM CST on ABC from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
Fan voting for majority of the awards is currently open, either via VoteAMAs.com or Twitter. Voting for Favorite K-Pop Artist will open on Nov. 1st.
Four new categories were added this year including Favorite K-pop Artist, Afrobeats, Favorite Rock Song, and Favorite Rock Album.
